Carolyn F. Tibbs, B.Sc., RVT
Carolyn graduated from Washington's McKinley Technical High School and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the District of Columbia. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician and served as President of the Maryland Veterinary Technician Association for three years. During that time she was instrumental in developing the first externship program between Essex Community College, Veterinary Technology Program and Virginia Tech, VA/MD Regional College, School of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. Carolyn is a member of North American Veterinary Technicians Association, as well as, the Maryland and American Veterinary Medical Associations and their affiliated Auxiliary. Together with her husband, they began the Oakcrest Veterinary Clinic in 1978.
Away from the office, Mrs. Tibbs is an active life member of the National Council of Negro Women. She is an extremely devoted director of the Discovery Youth Ministry at her church , where she also leads the adult Womens Sunday School Class. |
